Well, I must say it was great fun. A plot twisted around lots of treachery, murder, greed, lust, decadence, good-looking boys and that ol’ female cunning and rivalry, all wrapped-up in those great, black, slick outfits, outstanding visuals, theatrics, acting, singing, dancing, hilarious comedy and ‘all that jazz’… plus what came as a total surprise to me: Kelly Osbourne in one of the main roles (“Mama Morton”) – not as up to scratch for such an adult role, in my opinion, but didn’t do badly (Ma, Pa ‘n Bra must be proud…). A special note for the two great Black actors on stage, Clive Rowe (as Amos Hart) and Clarke Peters (as Billy Flynn), but specially for this one (not just because, being seated on the first row, we exchanged a nice smile and a eye blinking…) for what to me were some of the best performed sketches, e.g. the ‘lawyer/spokesman-cum-puppeteer’ one, which he so brilliantly played with Sarah Soetaert (as Roxy Hart). But all my praises go to Lisa Norman (as Go-To-Hell Kitty) who was just superb all throughout her multifaceted performance and kept reminding me of my dear friend S. in Oklahoma…
It was really a great night out!
Thanks T.
