HELEN SUZMAN (R.I.P.)

Helen Suzman, the most prominent white anti-apartheid campaigner in the South African parliament, died yesterday aged 91.
She was also an Economic Historian with whom, except in what it relates to parliamentary politics, I shared this phrase: "it was the study of the migrant labour system that first brought me into politics."
