THIS DAY A YEAR AGO (*)

IT'S BEEN A LONG TIME COMING...

BUT CHANGE DID COME!

How this happened

Ana --

I'm about to head to Grant Park to talk to everyone gathered there, but I wanted to write to you first.

We just made history.

And I don't want you to forget how we did it.

You made history every single day during this campaign -- every day you knocked on doors, made a donation, or talked to your family, friends, and neighbors about why you believe it's time for change.

I want to thank all of you who gave your time, talent, and passion to this campaign.

We have a lot of work to do to get our country back on track, and I'll be in touch soon about what comes next.

But I want to be very clear about one thing...

All of this happened because of you.

Thank you,

Barack

Parabéns Ana.

A vitória de Obama também é sua, pelo contributo e suporte que lhe deu.

It was a changing day for America. Now let's hope it also means a change to the rest of the world.
Cheers!

Ainda me parece mentira!

Nick I have little doubt that his win will affect the world and, more importantly, in a more positive way than what we have seen for most of American history and certainly for the last 8 years...
Cheers!

Yes you did it. Don't it feel great? God it feels so good to see this man become President of the United States of America and to see his wonderful family move into the White House.

I've stopped sobbing by the way. Just a sniffle now and then when I think about what has happened. Thanks for your support of Barack Obama on your blog.

BTW: Which of your Obama posts should I use in my next roundup piece about the post-election phase (the Transition to Power)? Plus, I still am working on the final Koluki interview Q&A Nr. 7. Honest! However, I'm glad that your new guest interviewee jumped in there to cover my rear...:-)

I knew that I would ... ... ...

To be honest BRE I don't think any of 'my Obama posts', most of which are actually made up of his campaign messages by email to me and other supporters, is adequate to the post-election phase.
I'm actually curious to know about your views on that as an American, especially as it refers to how you see US/Africa relations evolve under the Obama administration. You could use your long-awaited Q&A 7 for that... and nobody would notice your ... er...procrastination...;-)

Has been a thought year. Seems like the Campaign was a "everyday party".

Indeed.
